Tonight, the Kentucky Wildcats will celebrate Senior Night as Dominique Hawkins, Mychal Mulder and Derek Willis play their final game in Rupp Arena.
Hawkins and Willis came to UK via the 2013 class, of which Marcus Lee was once part of. He would have been a senior tonight being recognized if not for him transferring to California this offseason, where he will finish out his college career next season.
But Lee will always bleed blue, and he’s sending a congratulations to Hawkins, Willis and Mulder via his Instagram page:
Dear Dom, DXW, and Mychal, Patience is a virtue. The grind gives you strength. But friendship is what gets you through it all. I started off my college career with these guys and today is their last day playing in Rupp Arena. It’s been a rough road traveled but you made it to the home stretch of college and I couldn’t have been prouder to go through some of the battles we’ve gone through together whether it’s on the basketball court, in school or in life. But no matter what it was we went through it together. Thank you for always being my brothers no matter what we go through and no matter what the name is on the front of our jerseys lol. Congratulations on making it where few people have made it to. Enjoy your Senior Night because it’s your night!
