Kentucky will have a surprise visitor this weekend.
According to Evan Daniels of Scout.com, five-star guard Javonte Smart is taking an unofficial visit today as the Cats get set to host Florida.

A 6-4, 185-pound guard out of Baton Rouge, Smart is ranked as the top prospect from the state of Louisiana in 2018 in addition to being the No. 3 point guard and No. 13 overall recruit, according to 247 Sports Composite.
Thus far, Kentucky has appeared to show more interest in Immanuel Quickley for a point guard target in 2018, but Smart could end up being the superior player.
Kentucky has yet to offer Smart a scholarship, though they’re still tied with LSU in his crystal ball:
Perhaps an offer will come for Smart this weekend. Whether Kentucky prioritizes him or Quickley will be one of the bigger recruiting stories to watch for in the 2018 class.
