The Kentucky Wildcats have scored a big get in the Class of 2018.

On Saturday, four-star defensive end Alex Reigelsperger committed to the Cats on the Kentucky Sports Radio pregame show. He became the third pledge UK has scored this week after Marvin Alexander and Davoan Hawkins committed on Tuesday.

The 6-5, 230-pound Reigelsperger hails from Wayne High School in Ohio. ESPN ranks him 166th overall in the 2018 class in addition to being the fifth-best player from the Buckeye State.

Reigelsperger commits to UK while holding offers from West Virginia, Iowa, Minnesota, Pitt, Cincinnati and Duke among others. Ohio State has also shown significant interest, though an offer has not come yet.

The Cats now have four commitments in 2018 while Reigelsperger becomes the first Ohio pledge. To no surprise, Vince Marrow was Reigelsperger’s primary recruiter.

Here is ESPN’s scouting report of Reigelsperger:

STRENGTHS: Has ideal height and length. Flashes a good get off and has the speed to make plays from the backside. Heady player who puts himself into good position and displays good hand play and placement. Competes on the edge and fights through the whistle. .

AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT: Needs to fill out ample frame with functional strength. Needs to watch pad level and can give ground when doesn't win with quickness and leverage.

BOTTOM LINE: Reigelsperger is a tall defensive end prospect who will only get better once he adds size and functional strength. He displays the tools to be a well-rounded DE for a Power 5 program.
