NBA Trade Rumors: Suns want 2nd-round pick for Brandon Knight

Another former Wildcat may be on the move.

Not long after Nerlens Noel was traded, another former Kentucky Wildcats start could be on the move.

RealGm is reporting that the Phoenix Suns are seeking a 2nd round draft pick for guard Brandon Knight.

Knight arrived in Phoenix coming from the Milwaukee Bucks in a three team deal two years ago. He is averaging over 11 points and nearly 2.5 assists per game this season, and is quickly becoming the odd man out for the Suns behind other former Kentucky guards Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker.

Some have speculated that New Orleans may be interested in adding Knight as the guard position is an area of great need for the Pelicans.

Any team interested in Knight may be turned off, however, due to his contract. Knight signed an extension with the Suns last summer that runs through 2020, and his salary ranges from $12-$15 million per year with incremental increases.

Surely somebody will take a flier, however, on a young guard with a career average of 15.2 points and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 36% from the 3-point line.

Many in Big Blue Nation would love for Knight to end up with another former Wildcat (or more).

What team do you think would be a good fit for Brandon Knight?
