Monday Quickies: Low Blow on Boogie Edition

DeMarcus Cousins gets hit below the belt, the Reds trade Brandon Phillips and more in today’s headlines.

NBA: New Orleans Pelicans at Sacramento Kings Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

DeMarcus Cousins was involved in some chippy play (again). The former Wildcat and current Sacramento Kings star was first unfairly called for a technical foul in a game against the New Orleans Pelicans last night.

Then Buddy Hield got a little too handsy with Cousins.

Hield was hit with a flagrant 2 and ejected from the game.

Meanwhile, Cousins’ unfair technical was his 17th of the season (he’s the league leader in that category). If he picks up one more he’ll get suspended...again.
