According to reports from Lex 18, De’Aaron Fox and Bam Adebayo were passengers in a car accident on Nicholasville Rd around 1 p.m. this afternoon. Neither suffered injuries, but the crash did send one person to the hospital.
A UK spokesman confirmed that the two were not injured. They were on the way to a team meeting on campus after Saturday’s win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The meeting was at the Joe Craft Center, and police showed up at the Center to speak to Adebayo and Fox after the accident. No additional information about the accident is available at this time, but we’ll keep this post updated if more details come out.
It’s good that Fox and Adebayo are OK, and we’re hoping that the person sent to the hospital is OK as well (an update on their condition has not yet been given).
