No De’Aaron Fox, no problem! Well not really. But the Kentucky Wildcats overcame a great deal of diversity last night to pull away from the Georgia Bulldogs at home in a 90-81 win in overtime.
In the first half, gritty play from Wenyen Gabriel, Derek Willis, and Tai Wynyard kept the ‘Cats afloat. But in the second half, it turned into the Malik Monk/Isaiah Briscoe show as the two guards dominated in every facet on offense. And once again, Monk provided the shot at the buzzer to propel UK to overtime.
Here is what we discussed:
- Holy Malik Monk!
- Isaiah Briscoe broke out of his slump at just the right time and he was brilliant for the most part
- John Calipari hates the 2-3 zone but it saved them in the first half
- I don’t ever want to see that starting line-up ever again
- Is this team tough? I think they went a long way in proving that they are indeed
- Coach Cal full postgame press conference
- Bam Adebayo was limited but he proved crucial down the stretch and with four fouls
- Keys to victory against the Florida Gators
- And more!
The Florida game time is TBD but we will be with you as always on ESPN 680 as soon as the game is over.
