Nerlens Noel doesn’t seem too happy with the Dallas Mavericks so far this season.
After being traded to Dallas last season, Nerlens has made it obvious that this isn’t where he wants to play for his career. This past summer, the Mavs offered Noel a contract that would guarantee him 17 million dollars every year for the next four years, and Noel turned it down.
By doing this, Noel is betting on himself.
Will it pay off?
We’ll see. The real question is, where will Noel end up next season?
With speculation of Lebron going to LA next season to suit up for the Los Angeles Lakers, there are rumors that Noel may join him there.
It’s important to note that Lebron and Noel have the same agent, Rich Paul. Mike Fisher of DallasBasketball.com has this to say about the situation:
“Where is Noel going to have the surgery? In Cleveland, hometown of LeBron James and a headquarters for agent Rich Paul, who reps both LeBron and Noel and yeah, it’s kind of an open secret now that the fellas are plotting ways to end up together, maybe next July 1 via free agency to the Los Angeles Lakers.”
All signs are pointing to Noel leaving next summer for a different team, whether or not Lebron joins him. However, it would shake things up big time if Noel and Lebron were to team up in LA.
