While the Cats are 7-5 and bowl eligible for the second straight year, they dropped four of their last six with three losses coming by 27+ points in that span. Add in the embarrassment that was the Louisville game/brawl, and it all left a bad taste in fans’ mouths. But today’s a new day, as Kentucky knows where it will be headed (the Music City Bowl) and who it will play (Northwestern), and now there’s a chance for redemption. It was expected to be better than a 7-5 year, but a bowl win would put this season right back on track in the program’s rebuild. The goal of reaching a bowl was accomplished last year. Winning one is the next step.
