Keldon Johnson continues to be the star of UK’s 2018 recruiting class.
Johnson’s most recent highlight was leading Oak Hill to the 2017 Chick-fil-A Classic held in Columbia (SC). Johnson and No. 3 Oak Hill Academy (Va.) beat No. 8 IMG Academy (Fla.) to win their fourth Chick-fil-A Classic title.
Johnson was the star of the show, putting in 25 points on 10-of-19 shooting while also going 3-of-4 from three-point range. For his efforts, Johnson was named the MVP of the Classic.
He was even making recruiting pitches at the event to anyone interested in joining him in Lexington.
“I mean it’s Kentucky,” said Johnson, via USA Today. “You’ll never get the experience that Kentucky can give you.
“I just ask that question because it makes sense. That’s what I thought about when I committed. Coach Cal is a great coach, you’re competing for a national title in front of the best fans in the world and you’re getting everyone’s best shot. What else could you want?”
SLAM just compiled a highlight-reel of Johnson’s performance at the event, which you can see below:
