The Kentucky Wildcats will be without their best player for the rest of their matchup with Northwestern.
After Snell was tackled for a loss on a run, referee Chris Coyte attempted to help Snell up, but Snell didn’t want it after it appeared Northwestern had hit him well after the play, which could have been a flag for a late hit.
But Coyte didn’t see it that way. instead, he kicked Snell out of the game in one of the most bizzare officiating decisions you’ll ever see.

Even announcer Andre Ware called the call “ridiculous and unbelievable.” You can argue Snell did make contact with the official, but it was contact that the referee initiated, so it shouldn’t count.
I’m honestly at a loss for words. I’ve never seen anything quite like that, and it just cost UK their best player for the rest of this game.
