It’s safe to say UK got a much-needed wakeup call from the UCLA loss.
Unfortunately for Louisville, these young Cats were out for blood when the Cards rolled into Rupp Arena. What was expected to a be close, hard-fought game turned into a feast for UK en route to a 90-61 win over Louisville.
The game was actually close for much of the first half, but a 25-8 run would give UK a commanding 41-27 lead going into halftime.
That seemed like a good spot for this young UK team to let up a little and allow the Cards make this competitive.
Nope.
UK turned in an even better second half that saw them build a lead as big as 32 on their way to one of the largest margins of victory in the history of this rivalry.
