Wednesday Quickies: Fight Like Wenyen Edition

New, 29 comments

Wenyen was the only one that brought the fight against UCLA, and more.

NCAA Basketball: Utah Valley at Kentucky Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

Kentucky didn’t look great against UCLA, and John Calipari said that the only one who fought enough to win was sophomore forward Wenyen Gabriel.

“We got beat, and we got beat by a better team, a better-coached team, a team that had more fight than us. Now we’ve gotta recover from it. Now there’s a bounce back,” Calipari said. “We need more of what Wenyen gives from other guys.”

With the Louisville Cardinals upcoming, Kentucky is going to have to find that fight.
