It may be time to get excited about Jarred Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt was spotted in New Orleans wearing his practice jersey during a video shot by UK:

Social media sleuthing. By enhancing @KentuckyMBB’s insta post it appears Jarred Vanderbilt was practicing in New Orleans. He is on the left side of the picture. pic.twitter.com/0MhwPkbG7H

Regardless of how much work Vanderbilt actually did, just seeing him out there with his teammates definitely makes it seem like he’s nearing his long-awaited debut.
Although he’s a scratch for the UCLA game, don’t be surprised if we start to hear rumors of him possibly suiting up for the UofL game. We’ve been hearing late December/early January for a while now.
All of this is happening at the perfect time. If the Cats can get Jarred back on the court either before or right as league play starts, it would allow the transition to be that much easier. Jarred can ease himself back in the game while also learning to play with his teammates well before the tournament starts.
Either way, it’s great to see him back on the court. Jarred is a great guy and an amazing player. Hopefully we’ll see him out there soon!
