The recruitment of 5-star center Moses Brown is finally heating up with regards to Kentucky’s involvement. The No. 13 player in the nation (according to Rivals) announced a little while back that he’s between Duke and Kentucky for his final visit, and both schools want to make sure they’re included in Brown’s decision.
"It's between Duke and Kentucky for my final visit," Brown said, according to Rivals. "They've been showing a lot of interest and recruiting me pretty hard over the past few months."
Kentucky’s interest in Brown seems to have fluctuated in recent months, but the loss of Bol Bol on the recruiting trail may have been what caused John Calipari and Co. to jump back in on Brown with aggression. Assistant Tony Barbee watched Brown in the City of Palms Classic recently, and Calipari visited Brown in early November.
Brown has already visited Florida State, Maryland, Louisville and UCLA. Louisville has been cut from the list, and Maryland is the favorite in his 247 Sports crystal ball with Florida State behind the Terps.
Kentucky has not yet offered Brown, but I’d imagine that would change if he visits Lexington. He’s Calipari’s last chance at a true 5-star center in 2018.
You can read the rest of the story from Eric Bossi on Rivals.com here. It includes Brown’s thoughts on each of his visits, as well as details on how Georgetown may be in the mix for a visit.
