The Kentucky Wildcats are in New Orleans to face the 8-3 UCLA Bruins in the 2017 CBS Sports Classic.

The Cats are coming off a very impressive offensive performance against the Virginia Tech Hokies. The perimeter defense still lacked, but they did manage to force VT into 19 turnovers.

UCLA is coming off a narrow win over South Dakota, 85-82. That came back-to-back losses against the Michigan Wolverines and the Cincinnati Bearcats, which featured a horrendous showing from the Bruins. They lost the game to UC by a score of 77-63. Cincinnati is ranked 20, and it was the first time they played a ranked opponent since they played Creighton earlier in the year, another game in which they got manhandled in.

The Cats are on an upward slope while the Bruins are trending down. Aaron Holiday is trying his hardest to get this Bruins team back on track, but he’s not getting much help from his teammates.

Look for Hamidou Diallo to have another big game. Since this is going to be one of the bigger games on the schedule this year a lot of NBA scouts will have their eyes on it.

Diallo is slowly becoming the guy for the Cats, and his draft stock is rising with every game. He had 20 points last game, including the dagger three-point shot towards the end of the game against VT. Will he be the official closer for the Cats?

Here is everything you need to watch and follow the Cats take on the Bruins:
