The Kentucky Wildcats are no longer in the running for Shocky Jacques-Louis.
The three-star athlete/wide receiver, who decommitted from Kentucky on June 11, was believed to be nearing a recommitment to UK before the early signing period began.
However, things took a drastic turn in his recruitment following an official visit with the Pittsburgh Panthers, where he’s now expected to land. According to Joe Mussato of SEC Country, UK and Jacques-Louis have parted ways.
College football’s early signing period opens Wednesday. Kentucky won’t be sending Jacques-Louis papers, essentially ending its recruitment of him.
The Florida native by way of Dunbar High School is the No. 94 wide receiver in the class of 2018.
His recruitment has been a roller coaster, as Jacques-Louis also committed to the Tennessee Volunteers back in August, and then decommitted from there in late September.
After decommitting from Kentucky and Tennessee, he was recruited by some top-tier programs, as the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes both offered him a scholarship in mid-November. He also already held an offer from the Michigan Wolverines.
Jacques-Louis stands 6-1, 175 lbs. He held 28 total offers.
