The latest AP Top 25 Poll is out, and it has the Kentucky Wildcats on the rise.

Despite some voters thinking UK shouldn’t even be in the top 10, the majority of AP voters were impressed with the Cats’ win over Virginia Tech this past Saturday. ThE Hokies were a borderline top-25 team, ad they would have been ranked in all the major polls had they won at Rupp Arena.

But the Cats prevailed, and they rose to the No. 7 spot in the new AP Poll.

We finally got some legitimate intel on the Wildcats after their home win over Virginia Tech on Saturday. We'll find out some more in the coming weeks, with UCLA and Louisville up next on the schedule. Will Kentucky's hot shooting (11 3-pointers vs. Tech) be an aberration?
