You can sometimes forget that there is a great deal of pressure on NBA players and they are people just like us.
While they get paid millions of dollars, they are under a huge microscope that criticizes their every move. If you search hard enough you can almost always find negative words about your favorite NBA player.
The sad part about that is that when these guys do something great, it does not become national news.
Former Kentucky Wildcats Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins have been great on the court for the Pelicans, but this Christmas, they have been even better off the court. Davis recently gave a car and some toys to a family at the Kingsley House in New Orleans.
The Kingsley House works with the community and are a United Way Community Impact Partner.

Cousins continued a tradition that he has maintained for quite a few years since coming to the NBA and that is his annual Santa Cuz event that has been going on for seven years.
This was the first time it was held in New Orleans, with the other six in Sacramento. If you would like to read up about the event you can do so here.
For both players this is nothing new. Since coming into the league, Davis and Cousins have done their part to give back. Both have won community service awards from the league.
Cousins won the first player to win the Offseason Community Assist Award this past summer for all of the work he did.
Meanwhile, Davis won the Community Assist Award in January of 2015.
It is easy to criticize these guys for the things that they do on the court, but you should know that some of them do great things away from the court.
