The college basketball season has not started yet, so naturally Joe Lunardi thought this was a great time to bust out a bracket. That man has never found a bad time to tell you what 68 teams will be playing in the NCAA Tournament within the next calendar year. How anyone goes more than a week without seeing who the likely matchups in the first four are, I’ll never know.
In his first release, Lunardi has Kentucky as a No. 2 seed in the South Region. The No. 1 seed in that region is Duke, and their first predicted opponent is No 15-seeded Ball State. SEC foe Missouri is in that region as an 11 seed, but they’d have to win their projected play-in game against St. Bonaventure.
Just typing all this out as if it’s actually going to happen when we’re talking hypotheticals and we’re four months away from the tournament is making me feel ridiculous. Let’s get to some tweets.
