Kentucky Basketball Recruiting: Moses Brown visited by John Calipari and Tony Barbee

UK now looks like a real option for the five-star center.

Moses Brown now appears to be a real option for UK in the 2018 class.

On Sunday, head coach John Calipari met with Brown, according to Made Hoops reporter Pat Lawless. Calipari was joined by assistant coach Tony Barbee for the trip to New York’s Archbishop Molloy.

Since that visit occurred, 247 recruiting expert Andrew Slater has logged a crystal ball pick in favor of UK. Slater is easily one of the best and well-informed recruiting analysts, so if he’s picking UK, it looks like there’s a real chance of it happening.

It’s unclear what this means for Brown, but after reports that he could visit UK emerged, it looks like UK is really interested in him after appearing to have passed on him.

If UK is considering Brown, it’s a pretty good sign that Bol Bol is picking the Oregon Ducks. UK is in the final two for Bol, who was thought to be UK’s last remaining center target in 2018, but if he picks Oregon, it looks like Brown is someone UK is circling back to.
