Jarred Vanderbilt may be back in action sooner than anyone could have imagined.
The Kentucky Wildcats are about to have their exhibition finale against Centre College, and while Vanderbilt won’t play, he is on the court getting some shots up.

But for real, he’s not playing. But good to see him back on the court having fun. https://t.co/KXW02dj4XF

UK has given no update on when Vanderbilt will return, but it certainly appears it isn’t too far away.
Vanderbilt is still recovering from a foot injury suffered on the first day of fall practice. It was initially thought to be bad enough to sideline Vanderbilt for multiple months, as his initial return date was thought to be around January.
Now, it looks like there’s a chance Vanderbilt is back before the month of November concludes. While he may be getting close to practicing, I doubt he plays in a game this month, but just having him on the court with his teammates would be huge for the Cats this season.
