With 2018 recruiting classes being worked out, the interest in 2019 recruits is heating up.

Two five-star recruits, wing Keion Brooks and point guard Ashton Hagans have talked about Kentucky recently.

As for Hagans, he thinks he’s near a Kentucky offer, according to an interview he did with Rivals.

“They said they love my game and to keep playing my game,” he said. They want me to stay in the gym and just continue to improve. I think they might be close to offering.”

Kentucky has shown increased interest in Hagans lately, who already has 32 offers, including offers from Kansas, North Carolina, Auburn and Alabama. Joel Justus was in attendance to see him play on Nov. 24. He’s the No. 6 player in Scout’s top 150 for 2019.

Brooks, who already holds a Kentucky offer, was in attendance at Big Blue Madness and spoke on the impression John Calipari gave him in an interview with Scout.

"Coach Cal sat me down and told me that this isn’t for everybody," Brooks said. "He told me he thought I was someone who could excel in their system and how they do things. He thinks I have an edge about myself and would help me if I go there to be productive."

Brooks is the No. 23 player in the ‘19 class by the 247 Sports composite. He has no shortage of offers from historic programs, as Michigan State, Indiana, Georgetown, Kansas and UCLA have all offered. He has 14 total offers.
