Kevin Knox and Hamidou Diallo highlight reels

A look at the performances of Hamidou Diallo and Kevin Knox during UK’s 6-1 start.

The Kentucky Wildcats have jumped out to a 6-1 start this season thanks in large part to the play of Hamidou Diallo and Kevin Knox.

Diallo, a redshirt freshman guard, is second on the team with 12.9 points per game to go with 2.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds per contest. That includes a career-high 19 points in the Cats’ most recent win; a 107-73 trouncing of UIC.

Knox, a freshman forward, leads the team with 16.1 points per contest, including a 25-point outing in that win over UIC. He’s also third on the team with 5.7 boards per game.

While the Cats have had several guys step up and lead them to victory this season, there’s no question the two most consistent players have been Knox and Diallo, both of whom look like first-round picks in the 2018 NBA Draft.
