Kevin Durant recently broke down film of top high school players on his YouTube channel, including 2018 UK signee Keldon Johnson and target Zion Williamson, as well as 2019’s Scottie Lewis, a five-star prospect with a UK offer.

Durant praised Johnson’s scoring ability.

“You talk about a scorer — this guy’s it,” Durant said. “He’s athletic, nice with the right hand. It’s hard to stop him going right.”

He also thinks Johnson is great one-on-one.

“I think the next step for him though is just figuring out how to play at each level he goes to — figuring out the team game,” Durant said. “Because he’s got everything you need one-on-one.”

Johnson is a five-star wing and the No. 14 player in the class on 247’s rankings.

As for Williamson, Durant seems amazed at what the No. 2 player in the class is capable of.

“Everybody knows this guy,” Durant said of Zion. “He’s just a bull in a china shop. He’s a freakish athlete. Like a once-in-a-generation-type athlete.”

“In transition, it’s kind of hard to stop this dude — like nearly impossible,” Durant said. “You can’t have any space around him. If you give him space, he’s taking off. He gets to the rim.”

After R.J. Barrett’s commitment to Duke, Williamson became the best player still available in 2018. Kentucky and Clemson are the favorites to land the five-star forward.
