Is Kentucky Nashville-bound after all? Kentucky is likely to play in the Music City Bowl against the Purdue Boilermakers, according to Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio.
Couple different folks this morning tell me most likely scenario as of today is Kentucky vs Purdue in the Music City Bowl

After Kentucky’s meltdown against Louisville that put their record at 7-5 for the year, this didn’t seem likely to me. But the Cats are one of just nine SEC bowl-bound teams this year, so that would certainly help their odds of making the Music City Bowl.
This could all change after conference championship week, as the domino effect of Georgia vs. Auburn and who makes the College Football Playoff and who doesn’t could knock Kentucky back to a lesser bowl.
Purdue, Kentucky’s potential opponent, beat Indiana this week to finish 6-6 in their first year under head coach Jeff Brohm, the former head coach at Western Kentucky University.
Should the Cats end up in the Music City Bowl, they’ll play on Friday, Dec. 29 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
