The latest AP Top 25 Poll is out, and the Kentucky Wildcats fell just one spot in it.
Despite losing to the Kansas Jayhawks, the Cats showed a lot of promise in the narrow defeat, which was a big reason why they didn’t drop far in any of the new polls. The only teams ahead of Kentucky are the Jayhawks, Florida Gators, Wichita State Shockers, Villanova Wildcats, Michigan State Spartans, Arizona Wildcats and Duke Blue Devils.
Elsewhere, the new CBS Sports power rankings have Kentucky climbing up to the No. 6 spot.
The Wildcats shot 56.9 percent from the field in Friday's win over East Tennessee State. Quade Green finished with a game-high 21 points.
