The Houston Astros win the World Series and more in today’s quickies.

MLB: World Series-Houston Astros at Los Angeles Dodgers Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning BBN, I hope you watched what was one of the best World Series in recent memory. The Houston Astros are world champions for the first time in the franchise’s history after last night’s Game 7 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. George Springer won the World Series MVP award, leading the Astros to a title that their city can cherish with joy as they continue to overcome the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey.

Congratulations to the Astros, and congratulations to Carlos Correa. After securing a ring for baseball, he secured a second ring by proposing to his girlfriend on the field during the postgame celebration.
