The recruitment of 5-star combo guard Quentin Grimes will come to an end on Wednesday.
Grimes will announce his college decision right before the early signing period ends, allowing him to sign a national letter of intent with whomever he chooses.
Grimes is the No. 16 player in the class of 2018 by the 247 Sports Composite, and the No. 11 player on Scout.com’s rankings. Though John Calipari and Kentucky had interest in Grimes and pursued him, they were never in a favorable position with him.
Kansas has been the overwhelming favorite in his Crystal Ball, not to mention Grimes’ mom is a Jayhawk alum.
Grimes visited Kentucky and received visits from Calipari and assistant coach Kenny Payne on multiple occasions in the last few months. Grimes cut his list to seven schools back in August: Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, Baylor, Marquette, Texas and Texas A&M.
