To no surprise, Jarren Williams has decommitted from the Kentucky Wildcats.
The four-star dual-threat quarterback removed “Kentucky commit” from his Twitter profile this weekend while taking an official visit with the Miami Hurricanes.
Then on Sunday morning, he made it official, announcing the decision on Snapchat that he was no longer committed to the Cats. He also confirmed the news to Fletcher Page of the Louisville Courier Journal.
This marks the second time he’s decommitted from Kentucky this year. He decommitted over the summer before eventually recommitting to Kentucky.
It’s unclear if UK has a backup plan in place in terms of adding a quarterback in the Class of 2018.
There’s no way of sugarcoating this: It’s a brutal loss for Kentucky, as Williams has a very bright future ahead of him as a college quarterback.
