Bol is leaving Mater Dei to attend Findlay Prep

Bol Bol is on the move again. After having transferred to Mater Dei High School, he’s withdrawing and transferring to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada, Mater Dei coach Gary McKnight confirmed, according to The Orange County Register.

Bol’s move was for family reasons, McKnight told The Orange County Register, but there’s an intriguing aspect of this move.

Findlay Prep, the school Bol plans on transferring to, is coached by Paul Washington, the father of current Wildcat PJ Washington.

This isn’t the first time Bol has moved in high school. He previously transferred from Bishop Miege High School in Kansas, which was when he enrolled at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California.

We’ve all been told Bol loves the West coast, and he appears to be staying out that way for his senior season of high school. Perhaps Paul Washington will have the influence that keeps him from staying out there for college as well?

Who knows. But it’s at least an interesting coincidence.
