As expected, Romeo Langford has cut the Kentucky Wildcats from contention.
Kentucky and Langford effectively moved on from each other after the summer recruiting period. It was really during a summer trip to Egypt with John Calipari’s U19 team that ended this recruitment. Langford rarely saw the floor, though part of that was due to back spasms, but all indicators were he and Calipari didn’t mesh well.
That was a big reason why Kentucky moved on from Langford and began focusing harder on Keldon Johnson and Quentin Grimes. It looks like that will pay off with Johnson, who is expected to pick Kentucky. As for Grimes, it looks like he’ll go with Kansas, but Kentucky is still in the running.
