Keldon Johnson will make his college decision at 6 p.m. ET this evening.
The 5-star shooting guard will choose between the Kentucky Wildcats, Maryland Terrapins, North Carolina State Wolfpack and Texas Longhorns.
Johnson is the No. 14 player in the 2018 class on the 247 Sports Composite. He stands 6-6, 216 lbs. Kentucky is the favorite for Johnson, as they hold 79 percent of the predictions in his crystal ball, compared to 14 percent for Maryland and seven percent for Texas. John Calipari and Joel Justus have each visited Johnson, and he’s visited Kentucky as well.
The Virginia native is a great slasher, excelling at getting into the lane with his size. He’s good at absorbing contact and getting to the free throw line. Because of his size, he can play as a wing and as a two. He’d be great alongside Immanuel Quickley, and if Kentucky got their second commitment out of Johnson their backcourt would be pretty well set for 2018.
We’ll post a live stream of the announcement here once it’s up, as well as a replay of Johnson picking his school.
