Kentucky Wildcats Football: ESPN FPI projects remaining schedule

How many more wins does ESPN expect for UK?

Jason Marcum

The Kentucky Wildcats will face the Missouri Tigers and try to improve to 5-1 before they take a break from action on their bye week.

Coming off the bye, however, they'll have a tough schedule down the stretch. The Cats will go to Mississippi State, host Tennessee and Ole Miss, travel to Vanderbilt and Georgia then host Louisville to cap the regular season.

If the Cats reach 5-1, you'd have to think they'd go bowling for the second straight season. ESPN’s FPI projections expect Kentucky beat Missouri, giving the Cats a 79% chance of winning.

While Kentucky is only favored to win against UT & Ole Miss, their matchup at Vanderbilt is almost 50/50 via projections. A win over a banged up Cardinals team doesn't seem so far fetched either (especially at Kroger Field) though their given percentage to win is just 35.4%. Finishing out according to plan would put them at 8-4 or 9-3, though FPI thinks it will be a 7-5 finish.

Of course, however, it all starts tomorrow as they host the Tigers. Kentucky is set to kickoff with Missouri at 7:30 P.M. EDT on SEC Network. For more updates on the Kentucky Wildcats 2017 Football season, check back with or on Twitter with @ASeaOfBlue or @MonJorgan.
