The Cats and Vols will clash at Kroger Field under the bright SEC Network lights for a 7:30 pm EST game time. A UK win would make the Cats bowl eligible for a second consecutive season, as well as give the Cats 13 wins in their past 18 regular season games.
Beating the Vols would also give UK a 6-2 start to the season, its best start since 6-2 in 2007. This would also be starting QB Stephen Johnson's 13th win since taking over in 2016, his 11th as a starter and two in a relief role.
Oh, and a win would all but assure Tennessee of firing head coach Butch Jones, who is on his last lifeline in Knoxville. A loss Saturday would likely ensure his exit out of Knoxville, which is something everyone seems to want.
