Kentucky Wildcats update depth chart for Mississippi State Bulldogs; early odds released

The Cats hope to have Jordan Jones back for this big SEC matchup.

The Kentucky Wildcats will be a big underdog when they face the Mississippi St. Bulldogs.

The early game line for this SEC clash has the Cats being 10-point road underdogs. It’s clear that the oddsmakers don’t have much respect for UK, a 5-1 team that is one point away from being 6-0 and does have road wins at South Carolina and Southern Miss.

Sure, the Bulldogs are better than either of those clubs, but 10 points is still a little much for UK against any team not named Georgia.

Elsewhere, the Cats have updated the depth chart ahead of Saturday’s brawl in Starkville. All-SEC linebacker Jordan Jones returned to the depth chart. He’s listed at weakside linebacker, but he’s not necessarily the starter he it’s listed as Jones ‘or’ Eli Brown for that spot.

Jones has missed the last four games due to a shoulder injury, which was a big loss for UK’s defense. However, the injury allowed Brown to come off the bench and show he’s someone who needs to be getting a heavy amount of snaps every game, even if Jones is playing.

Here is the fully-updated depth chart:
