From there, Monk would finish off the Dawgs in overtime to keep UK from losing three-straight games for the first time in the John Calipari era. It also kept the Cats from losing back-to-back games at home for the first time in the Calipari era.
Monk ended up scoring 31 points after halftime, and UK needed every bit of it with De’Aaron Fox out and Bam Adebayo dealing with foul trouble.

But more importantly, it was a fitting end to Brent Musburger’s amazing career, who now heads off into the sunset after calling one final thriller.
