De’Aaron Fox out vs Georgia

NCAA Basketball: Kentucky at Tennessee Bryan Lynn-USA TODAY Sports

UPDATE 2

UK has announced that De'Aaron Fox is officially out tonight and Isaiah Briscoe will start in his place. Also joining the lineup will be Malik Monk, Derek Willis, Isaac Humphries and Bam Adebayo.

UPDATE

John Calipari says that Fox is under the weather and will be game-time decision. Calipari added that Fox "was sick this morning," so it looks like an illness is the culprit, not the ankle Fox injured last week.

It looks like De’Aaron Fox will miss the Kentucky Wildcats’ matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs.

According to Cameron Mills Radio, the starting point guard is out tonight for an unspecified reason.

Fox was not present for the start of warmups as the team began stretching and getting shots up before they face Georgia at 9 pm ET. However, UK has since announced that Fox will be a game-time decision for tonight's contest against the Bulldogs.

This would be a tough loss for UK since Isaiah Briscoe and Dominique Hawkins haven't come close to replicating what Fox can do. Briscoe will likely start vs the Bulldogs with Hawkins spelling him off the bench, though Hawkins could slide into that third starting guard spot.

We'll have more details on this story as they become available.
