Abule Abadi picks Kentucky Wildcats

UK adds a talented under-the-radar lineman from Florida.

NCAA Football: Kentucky at Missouri Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Kentucky Wildcats have scored a commitment just days before National Signing Day.

According to 247 Sports’ Ryan Bartow, Abule Abadi committed to Kentucky Monday night. This comes after Abadi visited UK and Florida last week, but it was Mark Stoops and co. who came out on top for the 2017 defensive end.

Abadi, listed at 6-5 and 245 pounds, holds offer from UK, Florida, FIU, Florida Atlantic, UCF, USF, and UMass. He hails from Victory Christian Academy in Lakeland (FL).

It was just one week ago that Abadi scored offers from both UK and Florida, and anytime the Gators offer, you know it’s a talented player with good SEC potential.

Abadi is ranked as the 62nd-best defensive end in 2017 and the 188th-best prospect from Florida via 247. None of the other recruiting services have an evaluation on him.
