For the second December in a row, John Wall has been named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Month. Having the best season of his career statistically, Wall is leading the Washington Wizards to a solid start toward a playoff birth.

For the season, Wall is averaging a career-high 23.4 points and 10.1 assists per game to go with his career-best 46% shooting percentage. He is also shooting a person best 81.5% from the free throw line.
In this award winning month, however, those numbers jump to 24.5 points and 10.7 assists per game while shooting over 49% from the floor.

The Wizards are currently 2 games behind the Aaron Harrison-less Charlotte Hornets in the Southeast Division and sit at the #9 spot on the Eastern Conference standings. In order for the Wizards to make the playoffs, let alone make a run, Wall must keep up his production on the offensive end. Historically, his statistics, especially scoring, have decreased as the season has gone on.

John Wall and the Wizards, which is a phenomenal band name by the way, return to action tonight on the road against the Dallas Mavericks at 8:30 p.m.
