Aaron Harrison is looking for a new NBA team.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, the Charlotte Hornets are waiving Harrison. That means Harrison can be claimed by any of the other 29 NBA teams, but we won’t know if that happens until Wednesday at the earliest.
Harrison, who played with the Kentucky Wildcats from 2013-15, has seen limited minutes this season after falling behind Marco Belinelli and Jeremy Lamb in the rotation.
Harrison played 26 games for the Hornets since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2015, but his role has never been big enough to solidify his spot on the roster. He actually has a -2.03 Player Efficiency Rating this season while averaging just 0.2 points, 0.6 assists, and 0.6 rebound per game. He played a whopping two minutes in the month of December.
We’ll see if Aaron can catch on with another NBA team, hopefully one with other former Cats.
