If you want to see the premiere regular season match-up in college basketball this season, be ready to pay for it. Saturday’s game against the Kansas Jayhawks is the most expensive game the Kentucky Wildcats have played in Rupp Arena in over three years.
According to TicketIQ.com, the average ticket price for the showcase of the Big 12/SEC Challenge is $564. That is the highest price since Kentucky hosted Louisville on December 28th, 2013. The average price of a ticket for that game was $899 as the No. 18 Wildcats handled the No. 6 Cardinals 73-66.
Aside from both Duke-North Carolina match-ups, this is the most expensive college basketball game for the entire 2016-2017 season.
Kentucky’s second most expensive game this year has been their 97-92 loss to UCLA back on December 3rd.
If you are looking to get into Rupp Arena on Saturday, it will cost you a minimum of $160, which is the cheapest available ticket. If you have some money to spend and you really want to be a part of this big game (and maybe even set a world record), then you can get a high-end seat for as much as $5,800.
