Wednesday Quickies: Upset City Edition

The No. 1, 2 and 4 teams all go down in one night, and more in this morning's headlines.

Bryan Lynn-USA TODAY Sports

So the loss to Tennessee...That one hurts. People were predicting a double-digit win even if De'Aaron Fox didn't play. Fox played, and Kentucky still lost. It's tough losing to a rival, especially when that rival was 3-4 in SEC play and 10-9 overall, with losses to Chattanooga, Arkansas and Ole Miss. And on a day when No. 1 Villanova lost to Marquette and No. 2 Kansas lost to West Virginia, Kentucky had a shot to catapult closer to the top spot (or even all the way to No. 1) if they won convincingly. Instead, Kentucky falls victim to the same fate as 'Nova and KU, and suffers an upset on the road.

It wasn't easy to cope with the loss.

But hey, there are things to feel good about. Fox is healthy, it was a road game, and Kentucky has a HUGE shot at a bounce-back victory when Kansas comes to town in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
