Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of the Big Blue Nation, and welcome to the Tuesday Quickies.

Today’s Quickies are all about the Tennessee Volunteers, because that’s who Kentucky gets tonight in the manifestly unfriendly confines of Thompson-Boling Arena. Jeremy has your preview in case you somehow missed it.

Kentucky is 152-68 overall against the Vols, and 10-3 in the John Calipari era. However, every one of those three losses came on the road, including last season. Thompson-Boling is a tough place to play.

  • Remember Terrence Jones? Yeah, me neither, nearly. He has had a very quiet NBA career so far. But last night, Jones delivered in a big way. He frankly abused LeBron James a number of times on the way to a huge upset by the New Orleans Pelicans over the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Anthony Davis out due to a quad injury, Jones stepped up for his old teammate and led the Pelicans to a 2-point win that wasn’t quite as close as the score.
