Wildcat Quickies: Cal and Rick Podcast Edition

Cal talks to Pitino on his podcast, D.J. Eliot is headed to Colorado, John Wall records a double-double and more.

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

If you haven't heard the Cal Cast (John Calipari's podcast) yet, it's a must-listen. Calipari had Rick Pitino on the show, a much-awaited episode that has finally released. I don't want to spoil anything, but they talk about the rivalry, and get more in-depth with their conversation than just the surface of basketball (as Cal usually does on the show).

Calipari talked about having a good conversation with Pitino in the past during one of his press conferences this year. He also said that they can't be friendly with each other on a regular basis. So, the two had a nice 50-minute conversation, and boy was it good. You can listen to it here.

Also, the first minute is outstanding.
