A win is a win, especially when Memorial Gymnasium is involved.
This has proven to be a house of horrors for even the best UK teams that John Calipari has assembled, enough that just coming away with a win is all Wildcats fans can hope for.
This game turned into a slugfest that neither team would allow to get away until the final second ticked off. Kentucky looked strong during a 9-0 start, but from there, Vandy would punch right back and continue to trade blows the rest of the way until UK pulled off the 87-81 win.
That was in large part because Isaiah Briscoe scored a career-high 23 points, 13 coming in the second half. De’Aaron Fox was no slouch either with 22, 16 of which came in the second half.
