The Kentucky Wildcats are finally taking the field under the bright lights of Commonwealth Stadium.

Their first opponent of 2016 comes against Southern Miss of the Conference USA ranks. The golden Eagles are coming off a 9-5 year and look primed for another winning season in 2016.

The Cats are coming off another 5-7 season that once again had UK poised for a bowl berth, but came up just short of that goal. 2016 has the potential to be the best year of the Mark Stoops era in the all-important Year 4, so hopefully, beating Southern Miss ends up being a step towards making that happen.
