When high school seniors come to Big Blue Madness, it’s a great sign for the Kentucky Wildcats. When those same players come for BBM just weeks after their official visit to Lexington, it’s probably safe to say UK is the favorite for said recruit.
That’s the case for P.J. Washington, who just finished his official visit to UK just two weeks ago. Now, Washington is set to be back in town for BBM 2016, according to P.J.’s father, Paul Washington, who confirmed the news to the Lexington Herald-Leader this week.
That would seem to bode very well for UK in this recruitment. John Calipari has already made it clear Washington is one of his top targets in the 2017 class, and some believe the 6-7 forward could be close to popping for UK.
As it stands, P.J. is currently planning to visit Arizona and Texas in October, then make his decision sometime in November or December. It does not look like this recruitment will go into the spring, which is good for UK as they maintain their lead for this five-star prospect.
