Kevin Knox says John Calipari had best recruiting presentation

It’s no secret that Coach Calipari is one of the best recruiters ever. Cal may be at his best during in-home visits; he relates to players and parents very well, and he pulls out all the stops to make a good impression. That showed when he made a visit to 5-star recruit Kevin Knox.

Knox went through a round of in-home visits, and Calipari tied with Roy Williams for coaches that had the best presentation, according to a piece by Jason Jordan of USA Today.

"I’d say that was a tie between North Carolina and Kentucky. North Carolina brought a few really cool pictures of me in a jersey swap so I had the Carolina jersey on. That was cool. Then Coach Cal brought this panoramic video on an iPad or something and I could walk around inside of Rupp! It’s like I was actually there. It was crazy! Definitely a tie for Best Presentation."

Knox is ranked seventh overall in the ESPN Top 100, and second at his position. He’s also ranked as the No. 9 overall recruit by 247 Sports.

The 6-8 small forward’s final five features Kentucky, Duke, Florida State, North Carolina and Kansas, according to 247 Sports.
