The Kentucky Wildcats will be giving their fans a chance to watch the UK men’s basketball team for a live, televised open practice on ESPNU. This year’s open practice will be televised Oct. 9 from 7-9 p.m., UK announced on Wednesday.
The Cats will go through various agility and shooting drills in addition to 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 scrimmaging.
Calling the action for ESPNU will be Doris Burke, Seth Greenberg and Fran Fraschilla, while Andy Katz will do sideline reports.
For many fans, this will the first chance to see new faces like Bam Adebayo, De’Aaron Fox, Wenyen Gabriel, Sacha Killeya-Jones and Malik Monk in action. Five of Kentucky’s six signees are considered consensus top-25 players in the class of 2016, according to the Recruiting Services Consensus Index, not to mention many of these guys are being projected as NBA draft picks in 2017.
Speaking of, this live practice will take place two days before UK holds their NBA Combine.
